Capacity Building Programme held from 10th - 13th November, 2010 in District Rajouri, J&K

DEEP Foundation has been assigned District Rajouri of Jammu & Kashmir State. We are also a member of the State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Comittee.

In the first phase of implementation of the project, we have identified and trained 60 beneficiaries from 7 blocks, in two training programmes. We have reached out to about 55 villages from far flung areas so far.  


The beneficiaries were identified, screened and divided into two batches for the training programme - One at Kalakot Block and the other in Rajouri Block. They were explained how modern technology could improve their productivity and were also given a hands on expeience at the State Sheep Farms. The training was attended by the Sheep Husbandry Department officers, vets, lead bankers and insurance sector representatives, besides dignitaries from NABAD and the District Commissioner, Rajouri.
